VinFast scooters in India:

VinFast has taken a big step forward in its electric two-wheeler plans by launching four new e-scooters and rapidly expanding what could become one of the largest battery swap networks in the segment. The Vietnamese company has confirmed that 4,500 battery swap stations are already up and running as part of the first phase of its rollout. Looking ahead, VinFast aims to install nearly 45,000 battery swap cabinets across 34 provinces and cities by the end of the first quarter of 2026. Once this network is fully operational, it is expected to outnumber traditional fuel stations in the region. The idea behind this is simple and rider-friendly—users can swap out a drained battery for a fully charged one in just a few minutes, instead of waiting for long charging times. This approach could make electric scooters more practical for daily commuting, delivery work, and other frequent travel needs. To support this growing ecosystem, VinFast has introduced three new battery swap-compatible scooters called Evo, Feliz II, and Viper, each designed for different types of riders. Alongside these, the brand has also expanded its licence-free range with the Amio, a pedal-assisted electric scooter that is aimed at younger users who want a light, easy-to-use vehicle for short city trips.
Among the new models, the Viper stands out as the most advanced and premium option in the lineup. It comes with a newly developed chassis, modern LED projector headlamps, and a smart key system that offers useful features like vehicle tracking, remote search, and theft protection. Comfort and ride quality have also been improved with dual rear shock absorbers that use external oil reservoirs. Powering the Viper is a 3,000 W BLDC in-hub motor, which allows it to reach a top speed of up to 70 kmph, making it suitable for both city roads and slightly faster stretches. The Feliz II offers similar performance, using the same motor output and delivering comparable speed. The Evo, on the other hand, uses a slightly less powerful 2,450 W in-hub motor, but it is still capable of achieving similar top speeds for everyday riding. For users who want something simpler and easier to own, VinFast has also introduced the Evo Lite, which is designed to stay under 50 kmph and does not require a driving licence. This makes it a good option for students, first-time riders, or anyone looking for a hassle-free electric scooter.

All three battery swap models—the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper—are equipped with twin under-seat battery slots, each holding a 1.5 kWh LFP battery. These batteries are built for long-term durability and are designed with strong thermal safety standards in mind. With two fully charged batteries, the Evo can travel up to 165 km, while the Viper and Feliz II offer a range of up to 156 km under standard riding conditions. These numbers make them suitable for daily commuting as well as longer rides without constant worry about running out of charge. To attract more buyers and encourage early adoption, VinFast has opened advance bookings for the Evo range and announced several customer-friendly benefits in its home market. These include zero down payment purchase options, limited-time discounts, free battery swapping for the first few months, and complimentary access to public charging stations until mid-2027. By combining new scooter launches with a massive battery swap network and attractive ownership plans, VinFast is clearly aiming to make electric two-wheelers more convenient, affordable, and appealing for a wider group of riders.
