Skoda Auto India’s Big 2026 Game Plan: Four Exciting Launches, One Power-Packed Year

Skoda Auto India is gearing up for a blockbuster 2026, and the brand has already locked in a clear product roadmap that promises excitement across multiple segments. With four important launches spread throughout the year, Skoda aims to strengthen its presence in India by combining refreshed designs, more features, and high-performance models that appeal to enthusiasts and everyday buyers alike. From updated SUVs to iconic RS badges making a comeback, 2026 is shaping up to be a decisive year for the Czech carmaker.

Kushaq Facelift to Kick Off the Year

The action begins in March 2026 with the price announcement of the Skoda Kushaq facelift. Already unveiled, the updated Kushaq gets a noticeable design refresh that makes it look sharper and more premium. Up front, the midsize SUV features a redesigned bumper, a revised grille with segmented LED elements inspired by the larger Kodiaq, and updated headlamps that enhance its road presence. The side profile also looks fresher thanks to newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels.

At the rear, Skoda has added connected LED tail lamps with a full-width light bar, along with a reworked tailgate that gives the SUV a more modern feel. However, the biggest changes are inside the cabin. The 2026 Kushaq raises the bar in the segment by introducing a rear-seat massage function, a feature rarely seen at this price point. It also gets a panoramic sunroof, full LED ambient cabin lighting, front parking sensors, illuminated Skoda lettering at the rear, sequential turn indicators, leatherette upholstery, and ventilated as well as electrically adjustable front seats.

Tech and safety have not been ignored either. The facelifted Kushaq comes equipped with a larger 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Automatic climate control and six airbags are offered as standard across variants, reinforcing Skoda’s focus on safety. Under the hood, the SUV continues with the trusted 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines, paired with a six-speed manual, seven-speed DSG, and a new eight-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Kodiaq RS Arrives with Serious Performance

In the second quarter of 2026, Skoda will turn its attention to performance lovers with the launch of the Kodiaq RS. This high-performance SUV takes the standard Kodiaq formula and adds a strong dose of sportiness. Power comes from a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine tuned to produce 261 bhp and 400 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed DSG gearbox. Thanks to this setup, the Kodiaq RS can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, making it one of the quickest SUVs in its class.

The RS badge also brings plenty of visual drama. Expect red accents, glossy black exterior elements, blacked-out interiors with red contrast stitching, sporty pedals, and other RS-specific touches. The India-spec Kodiaq RS is likely to arrive as a CKD model, targeting buyers who want performance without compromising on space and comfort.

Kylaq Sportline+ Adds a Sporty Touch

Moving into the third quarter, Skoda will introduce the Kylaq Sportline+, a sportier version of its sub-4m SUV and current volume driver. While the mechanical setup remains unchanged, with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 115 PS and 178 Nm, the Sportline+ variant will focus on visual upgrades. Sporty styling elements inside and out are expected to give the Kylaq a more aggressive and youthful appeal, helping it stand out in the highly competitive compact SUV segment.

Octavia RS Makes a Comeback

Rounding off the year in the fourth quarter is the much-awaited return of the Skoda Octavia RS. When it was introduced in 2025 with a limited allocation of just 100 units, the response was nothing short of phenomenal, with all cars selling out within minutes. Buoyed by this demand, Skoda has confirmed that another batch of the Octavia RS will be brought to India in late 2026, once again catering to enthusiasts who value performance, practicality, and the legendary RS badge.

With a refreshed Kushaq, a powerful Kodiaq RS, a sportier Kylaq, and the iconic Octavia RS, Skoda Auto India’s 2026 lineup strikes a fine balance between mass appeal and enthusiast-focused offerings. It’s clear that Skoda is serious about strengthening its position in the Indian market, and for buyers, the year ahead looks more exciting than ever.

Stay tuned and follow up for more.
