India’s Two-Wheeler Market Races Ahead in December 2025

The Indian two-wheeler market ended December 2025 on a powerful high, clearly showing that demand for motorcycles and scooters is stronger than ever. With festive momentum, improved availability, and growing consumer confidence, the country’s top-selling two-wheelers delivered an impressive performance. The top 10 highest-selling two-wheelers together recorded sales of 10,49,549 units, marking a massive 42.53% year-on-year growth compared to 7,36,372 units in December 2024.
Leading the charge once again is the Hero Splendor, a name that continues to define reliability and mass appeal in India. The Splendor stood tall at the top of the sales chart with 2,80,760 units sold, registering a solid 45.90% YOY growth. Its consistent popularity across rural and urban markets keeps it firmly planted as the country’s best-selling two-wheeler.
Taking second place is the ever-popular Honda Activa, which remains India’s favourite scooter. In December 2025, the Activa recorded 1,81,604 units in sales, delivering an impressive 50.11% growth over the previous year. Its comfortable ride, trusted engine, and wide customer base continue to make it the go-to choice for families and daily commuters.
Right behind is the Honda Shine, which claimed third position with 1,41,602 units sold. The Shine posted a healthy 40.42% year-on-year growth, reflecting strong demand in the 125cc commuter segment. Its balance of fuel efficiency, smooth performance, and durability keeps it among the most preferred motorcycles in the country.
At fourth place, TVS Jupiter makes a strong entry with 1,20,477 units sold, growing by 35.87% YOY. The Jupiter’s consistent performance highlights TVS Motor Company’s growing strength in the scooter segment, especially among urban buyers looking for comfort and practicality.
The Bajaj Pulsar, known for its sporty appeal, secured the fifth spot with 79,616 units sold, growing at 21.42% YOY. While growth is slower compared to others, the Pulsar continues to hold a loyal fan base, particularly among younger riders.
Suzuki finds its place in the top 10 through the Suzuki Access, the brand’s strongest performer. With 69,622 units sold and 33.43% YOY growth, the Access remains one of the most trusted premium scooters in the market.
At seventh position is the Hero HF Deluxe, which recorded 49,051 units sold. Although its 17.59% YOY growth is the slowest among the top 10, the HF Deluxe continues to attract value-focused buyers looking for affordability and fuel efficiency.
The final three spots are dominated by TVS Motor Company, highlighting the brand’s wide product appeal. The TVS XL sold 46,133 units, growing by 39.41%, while the TVS Apache delivered the highest growth in the list at a stunning 117.89% YOY, with 45,507 units sold. This sharp rise reflects increasing interest in performance-oriented motorcycles.
Rounding off the list is the TVS iQube, the only electric two-wheeler among the top 10. With 35,177 units sold and 75.86% growth, the iQube not only shows the rising acceptance of electric mobility but also stands as India’s best-selling electric scooter.
Overall, Hero MotoCorp, Honda, TVS, Bajaj, and Suzuki dominate the market. Among them, TVS Motor Company emerged as the fastest-growing manufacturer, posting a cumulative 52.10% YOY growth, followed by Honda (45.70%) and Hero (40.90%).
