India’s one of leading two wheeler manufacturer TVS has unveiled its new segment bike TVS RTX 300 ADV. The TVS RTX 300 is their step into the ADV segment where many bikes have been previously introduced by other manufacturers like the Himalayan 450, KTM Adventure 390, Suzuki V Storm, and etc. The bike targets the ADV segment and comes with a 299cc liquid cooled RTX D4 engine.
What does it get?
The TVS RTX 300 ADV is poised to make a bold entry into India’s adventure-touring segment, with TVS offering it in multiple variants tailored to different rider preferences: a road-oriented version for highway and urban use, and a more off-road focused variant with spoke wheels, knobby tyres and rugged suspension tuning. Powered by a newly developed 299 cc single-cylinder RT-XD4 engine, producing approximately 35 hp at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm, the bike is mated to a six-speed gearbox and features modern touring aptitudes like ride-by-wire throttle, multiple ride modes, switchable traction control and dual-channel ABS. The standard model emphasizes touring comfort with smoother suspension, alloy 19/17-inch wheels and road-friendly tyres, while the off-road variant emphasizes trail capability via longer suspension travel, spoke wheel setup, more aggressive rubber and added underbody protection. Both variants share a sporty semi-fairing design, tall windscreen, split seat layout, full LED lighting and a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. As such, TVS aims to cater to both highway tourers and light off-road adventurers under the single RTX 300 ADV umbrella.

What does the bike look like?
We’ve seen people say that the TVS Apache RR310 looks like a Ducati Streetfighter V4, and so is the case with the TVS RTX300 ADV, the bike looks similar to a Triumph Tiger 800 and Triumph Tiger 900 and also the Ducati Multistrada V4. This definitely makes the bike more desirable as the aesthetic approach of the bike is something that on will find a deal breaker if wants the looks to feel like a premium segment ADV.
Conclusion:
The TVS RTX 300 ADV, is likely to be a good package at the starting price of Rs 2.60 lakhs ex-showroom. The bike will gets its tax benefits due to being under the 400cc category and will avoid extra tax that was introduced under the New Taxation Rules. The looks and the overall appeal of the bike makes it more desirable. It might give a tough competition to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in terms of segment, but the difference between the bikes except for the segment is the engine capacity. That can be considered in further times when TVS launches another variant of the bike with bigger engine capacity. Till then the bike seems very promising and a good package.
Stay tuned and follow up for more.
