Changes: Tesla Model Y Range Upgrade
The Tesla Model Y is being offered in tow variants, a Standard Range RWD and a Long Range RWD. The company has now increased the range from 622 km to 661 km. By increasing the battery capacity from 79 kwh to 84.2 kwh in the range topping model. The Long Range version also supports up to 250 kW of charging speed, that can give the car of almost around 260 km of range within 15 mins of charging, similar to the old model.
The battery used now, is new LG-made cells with higher energy density and has more efficiency. Where as the powertrain remains the same as before, using the same motor, the can do 0 to 100 km within 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 201 km/h.
Pricing:
The pricing remains unchanged and comes at Rs 59.89 lakhs for the Standard Range RWD and variant and 67.89 lakhs for the Long Range RWD variant, being sold via the Tesla dealership in Delhi and Mumbai.
