Upcoming Maruti Cars 2026:

Maruti Suzuki is preparing for an important year, with multiple new launches planned to strengthen its SUV lineup and appeal to different types of buyers in India. The company will begin the year with a premium SUV, followed by a more affordable model aimed at customers who want value for money. The most significant launch will be the Maruti e Vitara, which will mark the brand’s entry into the pure electric car space. Although Maruti Suzuki had originally planned to launch its first electric vehicle back in 2020, the project faced several delays, and it is only now, nearly six years later, that the company is ready to introduce it to the market. This launch is a major milestone for India’s largest carmaker, as it signals a serious move toward electric mobility. The e Vitara has been built from scratch on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, which has helped Maruti Suzuki make better use of space. Even though the SUV is slightly smaller in overall length compared to the Grand Vitara, it offers more room inside, especially for passengers, thanks to a longer wheelbase. This approach shows that the company is trying to balance compact size with comfort, which is important for Indian road and parking conditions.

In terms of size, the Maruti e Vitara measures 4,275 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,640 mm in height, making it look modern and well-proportioned without being too bulky. Interestingly, despite being around 70 mm shorter than the Grand Vitara, it has a wheelbase that is 100 mm longer, which should translate into better legroom for passengers. The e Vitara will be offered in two front-wheel-drive versions, both using a single electric motor. The lower version will produce 142 horsepower and 192.5 Nm of torque, while the higher version will offer 172 horsepower with the same torque figure. These two versions will use different battery sizes, with the smaller one getting a 49 kWh LFP battery and the larger one using a 61 kWh LFP battery. According to Maruti Suzuki, the e Vitara can deliver a driving range of up to 543 kilometres on a full charge, though actual real-world range will depend on driving style, traffic, and road conditions. Still, these figures suggest that the e Vitara is designed to be practical for both city use and longer trips.

Apart from performance and range, Maruti Suzuki is also focusing heavily on comfort, technology, and safety in the e Vitara. The electric SUV will come with features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, a fully digital instrument display, and a large touchscreen infotainment system for modern connectivity needs. The driver’s seat will offer power adjustment and ventilation, making long drives more comfortable, while the rear seat will have a flexible split design with sliding and reclining functions to improve passenger comfort. Safety will also be a strong point, with multiple airbags and advanced driver assistance systems included. Later in the year, likely around May or June, Maruti Suzuki plans to launch a refreshed version of the Brezza. This updated Brezza is expected to receive subtle design changes along with new features such as updated lights, revised bumpers, larger alloy wheels, and improved screens inside the cabin. Features like ventilated seats and advanced safety systems are also expected, and the CNG version may get a new fuel tank layout to free up more boot space, making it more practical for everyday use.
Stay tuned and follow up for more.
