Mahindra XUV 7XO:

Mahindra has expanded and refreshed its premium SUV range by introducing the XUV 7XO, which is essentially a heavily updated and more feature-rich version of the popular XUV700, and with this launch, the brand aims to strengthen its position in the competitive mid-size and full-size SUV space by offering a wide variety of variants, seating options, engines and gearboxes at different price points, starting with the base AX variant that carries an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 13.66 lakh, making it the most affordable entry into the XUV 7XO lineup, while moving a step higher, the AX3 variant is available at Rs. 16.02 lakh for the petrol manual version and Rs. 16.49 lakh for the diesel manual version, offering buyers a balance between price and features, followed by the AX5 variant which is positioned more towards comfort and convenience and is priced at Rs. 17.52 lakh for petrol manual and Rs. 17.99 lakh for diesel manual, and for those looking for a more premium experience, Mahindra offers the AX7 trim that starts at Rs. 18.48 lakh for petrol manual and Rs. 18.95 lakh for diesel manual, adding more advanced features and a richer cabin feel, while above this sits the AX7T variant, which caters to buyers who want flexibility in seating as it is offered in both six-seat and seven-seat layouts, and this variant is priced between Rs. 20.99 lakh and Rs. 21.39 lakh for diesel manual versions, whereas the petrol automatic versions are priced slightly higher, ranging from Rs. 21.97 lakh to Rs. 22.16 lakh depending on the seating configuration, and at the very top of the range is the flagship AX7L variant, which fully loads the XUV 7XO with the maximum features and premium touches, and its prices start at Rs. 22.47 lakh and go all the way up to Rs. 24.11 lakh, based on the choice of engine, transmission and seating arrangement, making it the most expensive and most feature-packed version of the SUV, while Mahindra has also confirmed that bookings for the XUV 7XO will officially open on January 14, 2026, giving customers the opportunity to reserve their preferred variant early, and deliveries will be rolled out in multiple phases, with the higher-end variants such as AX7, AX7T and AX7L being prioritised first, as their deliveries are planned to begin from mid-January itself, whereas buyers opting for the more affordable entry-level variants like AX, AX3 and AX5 will have to wait a bit longer, as these versions are scheduled to arrive at dealerships later, with deliveries planned from April 2026, and in terms of pricing differences, Mahindra has stated that choosing an automatic gearbox will cost buyers an additional Rs. 1.45 lakh over the corresponding manual version, while customers who need better grip and off-road capability can opt for the All-Wheel Drive system, which is available only with the diesel engine and comes at an extra cost of Rs. 2.45 lakh, and it is also important to note that all the prices announced for the XUV 7XO are introductory and will be applicable only for the first 40,000 units sold, after which prices may be revised, making early booking more attractive for interested buyers who want to secure the SUV at the current rates.
