Honda Elevate Price Hike

As 2026 begins, Honda has announced a major price increase for its popular mid-size SUV, the Elevate, which competes directly with models like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The company has raised the prices by as much as 5.5 percent, making the SUV noticeably more expensive for buyers. Earlier, the starting price of the Honda Elevate was Rs. 10,99,900 (ex-showroom), but it now begins at Rs. 11,59,890 (ex-showroom). This means the base model has become costlier by Rs. 59,990, which is a big jump for an entry-level variant. What makes this more noticeable is that many of its main rivals, including the new Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq, are still priced under Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom). Honda continues to offer the Elevate in multiple variants such as SV, V, VX, and ZX, along with special Black and ADV editions. The SUV is available with both manual and automatic gearbox options, though the automatic is not offered in the base SV trim. Interestingly, the SV variant is the one that has received the highest price hike, making it much less affordable than before, especially for buyers who were looking for a budget-friendly entry into the segment.

Looking at the updated pricing structure, Honda has increased the cost of each variant differently. The V grade has seen a smaller hike compared to the base model, with prices going up by Rs. 9,990. This means the V manual now costs Rs. 12.06 lakh (ex-showroom), while the automatic version is priced at Rs. 13.22 lakh (ex-showroom). Moving higher up the range, the VX variant has received a price hike of Rs. 13,590. As a result, the VX manual is now priced at Rs. 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom), and the automatic version costs Rs. 14.91 lakh (ex-showroom). These changes place the Elevate firmly in the premium price zone of the mid-size SUV market. Honda still offers the automatic gearbox on all trims except the SV, which could push buyers towards higher variants if they prefer the convenience of an automatic. With these revised prices, the gap between the Elevate and some of its competitors has grown, which might influence customer decisions, especially those who are comparing value for money.

Despite the price hike, the Honda Elevate continues to appeal to buyers who trust the brand for its reliability, comfort, and overall driving experience. However, the new pricing could make potential customers more cautious, especially when rivals are offering competitive features at lower starting prices. Buyers who were earlier considering the Elevate as a reasonably priced option may now explore alternatives like the Creta, Seltos, Taigun, or Kushaq, which still remain under the Rs. 11 lakh mark for their base variants. Honda’s decision to increase prices at the beginning of the year could be linked to rising production costs, feature updates, or overall market trends, but for customers, the impact is clear—they will now have to spend more to own the same car. While the Elevate still offers multiple trims, special editions, and transmission choices, the higher entry point may reduce its appeal for budget-focused buyers. In the coming months, it will be interesting to see how this price hike affects its sales numbers and whether Honda introduces any offers or benefits to balance out the increased costs.
