7 cars confirmed to launch in India soon:
Several exciting new cars and SUVs are set to arrive in the Indian market soon, bringing fresh options across electric, petrol, and hybrid segments. Maruti Suzuki has already unveiled its first electric car, the e Vitara, which is expected to launch in the coming days. It will be offered in three variants—Delta, Zeta, and Alpha—and will come with two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The bigger battery is claimed to deliver a range of up to 543 km on a single charge. Built on the Heartect-e platform, the India-spec model will feature a front-wheel-drive setup and produce 172 bhp and 193 Nm of torque with the larger battery pack. Alongside this, the much-awaited Renault Duster is set to return to India on January 26. Built on the CMF-B platform, the new-generation Duster is expected to use a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine producing 154 bhp and 250 Nm. Renault is also considering introducing a localised hybrid version later. While the design will largely resemble the global model, it will receive a few India-specific changes. Another major update will come from Skoda with the Kushaq facelift, which is expected to launch this month. The refreshed SUV will likely feature a revised front look, new alloy wheels, and subtle rear updates. Inside, buyers can expect added features like a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS, while the engine options will remain the same with the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol motors.
Nissan is also gearing up to expand its presence with the launch of the new Gravite MPV, which will be officially revealed on January 21. Based on the Renault Triber, the Gravite will be a compact 7-seater MPV, and its pricing is expected to be announced in March 2026. It will use the CMF-A+ platform but will feature a different exterior design and a refreshed interior layout, while keeping the familiar MPV shape. Powering it will likely be the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 76 hp and 95 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Tata Motors will also be in the spotlight with the Punch facelift, which has already been fully revealed and will officially launch on January 13. This updated version will feature a sharper design with new LED headlamps, sleeker DRLs, connected tail lamps, redesigned bumpers, and fresh alloy wheels. Inside, the Punch facelift will get a new steering wheel, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, touch-based AC controls, a 360-degree camera, and several other modern features. Under the hood, it will continue with the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, with a possibility of a new turbo petrol option being added later.

Volkswagen is preparing to bring its new flagship SUV, the Tayron, to India in the first quarter of 2026. The company has already teased the model, confirming that it will sit above the Tiguan R-Line in its lineup and will be offered only in the sportier R-Line trim. Built on the MQB EVO platform, the Tayron will be sold via the CKD route and powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Toyota is also entering the EV space with its first electric SUV for India, the Urban Cruiser EV, which is scheduled to launch on January 19. This electric SUV will be based on the Maruti e Vitara and will share the same 48.8 kWh and 61.1 kWh battery options, offering a claimed range of up to 500 km. Once launched, it will compete with models like the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, MG Windsor EV, Maruti e Vitara, and Mahindra BE 6. Overall, these upcoming launches show that the Indian car market is about to get more diverse than ever, with strong options in electric mobility, refreshed petrol SUVs, and family-friendly MPVs, giving buyers plenty of exciting new choices in the months ahead.
