Volkswagen India has shared the first detailed images of its upcoming flagship SUV, the Tayron R-Line, giving us a clear idea of what to expect from the brand’s most premium offering yet for the Indian market. The SUV was revealed through a design and product showcase, highlighting Volkswagen’s growing focus on bringing its global models to India with minimal delay after their international debut. The Tayron R-Line is expected to arrive in India roughly a year after its launch in Europe, which reinforces the company’s “global-first” strategy for local buyers. Positioned above all current Volkswagen SUVs in India, the Tayron R-Line will likely be the brand’s most luxurious and feature-rich seven-seater. It is also expected to be locally assembled at Volkswagen’s plant in Maharashtra, which could help in keeping prices competitive. In terms of design, the Tayron R-Line follows Volkswagen’s latest global SUV styling, featuring a bold and muscular stance, smooth body surfaces, and modern illuminated light signatures at both the front and rear.
