Kia sales from Dec 2025:

Kia India ended the 2025 calendar year on a strong note by recording total sales of 18,659 units in December. This marked a massive improvement compared to the same month last year, when the company had sold only 8,957 units. The year-on-year growth of 108 per cent clearly shows that Kia’s demand in India has grown sharply over the past year. However, December also reflected a slowdown when compared to November 2025, during which Kia had sold 25,489 units. This means the brand saw a 27 per cent drop on a month-on-month basis. Such a fall is not unusual, as November usually benefits from festive season demand and higher year-end dispatches. Even with the monthly dip, the overall picture remains positive for Kia, especially when looking at how much its volumes have grown compared to December 2024. The company’s performance highlights strong customer interest across its lineup, led mainly by its popular compact and midsize SUVs. Kia’s growing presence in the Indian market is becoming clearer, with its models continuing to attract buyers from different segments. While the month-on-month decline may look concerning at first glance, it is more a result of seasonal patterns rather than weakening demand.

The Sonet continued to be Kia’s top-selling model in December 2025, playing a major role in the brand’s overall performance. With 9,418 units sold, the compact SUV alone made up around half of Kia’s total monthly sales. This is a huge jump from the 3,337 units it managed in December 2024, translating into an impressive 182 per cent year-on-year growth. However, compared to November 2025, when Sonet sales stood at 12,051 units, there was a 22 per cent decline. This again points to the fact that November benefited from festive buying and higher dispatches. The Seltos also posted strong year-on-year numbers, selling 4,369 units in December compared to 2,830 units a year ago, which is a 54 per cent increase. But like the Sonet, it too saw a month-on-month fall of 31 per cent, dropping from 6,305 units in November. The Carens MPV followed a similar trend, registering 3,681 units in December 2025, up 40 per cent from 2,626 units last year. Yet, it saw a sharp 44 per cent drop compared to its November sales of 6,530 units. These patterns show that while Kia’s models are performing much better than last year, seasonal factors played a big role in November’s higher numbers.

The Kia Syros also stood out in December 2025 by selling 1,116 units. Since it was not on sale in December 2024, a year-on-year comparison is not applicable. However, on a month-on-month basis, its sales more than doubled from 544 units in November, marking a 105 per cent jump. This suggests growing interest in the model. At the premium end, the fourth-generation Carnival Limousine remained a niche product. It recorded 75 units in December, which was lower than the 103 units sold in December 2024, reflecting a 27 per cent year-on-year drop. Still, it did better than November’s figure of 58 units, showing a 29 per cent month-on-month rise. Meanwhile, Kia did not sell any units of the EV6 or EV9 in December. Overall, despite the month-on-month declines across most of its models, Kia India’s December 2025 performance looks strong when viewed from a yearly perspective. The brand has clearly built momentum, and with the new-generation Seltos recently launched with major updates, it will be interesting to see how Kia performs in the first half of 2026.
