Mercedes-Benz India ended the January–December 2025 period with total deliveries of 19,007 vehicles, which is slightly lower than the 19,565 units it sold the year before. Even though there was a small dip in volumes, the company achieved its best-ever annual revenue, mainly because customers are increasingly choosing more expensive, high-end models. This shows a clear shift in buyer preferences toward premium and luxury offerings. The biggest contributors to this success were the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach range, and AMG performance models. Together, the top-end portfolio grew by 11 per cent year-on-year and made up 25 per cent of total sales, proving that demand for flagship luxury cars remains strong in India. Buyers are now more focused on exclusivity, customisation, comfort, and high performance than ever before. The AMG brand, which is known for its sporty and powerful vehicles, performed especially well, growing by 34 per cent compared to last year. This growth reflects a rising interest in performance-focused luxury cars, including sedans, SUVs, and the iconic G-Class, which continue to attract customers looking for both status and excitement behind the wheel.

Mercedes-Benz’s electric vehicle portfolio also continued to grow steadily, recording a 12 per cent increase year-on-year. Electric vehicles now account for 20 per cent of all top-end Mercedes-Benz sales in India, showing that more buyers are becoming open to electric luxury cars. Interestingly, 70 per cent of these electric vehicles sold in 2025 were from the top-end category, with prices ranging between Rs. 1.25 crore and Rs. 3.1 crore. This means that buyers are not just choosing electric cars for sustainability but also for luxury and performance. The current electric lineup includes models like the EQS SUV, EQS Sedan, Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV, and the all-electric G580. Among individual models, the long wheelbase E-Class continued to be the most popular luxury car in the country, maintaining its position as the highest-selling in its segment. Its strong brand value, focus on rear-seat comfort, and premium features have helped it outperform rivals year after year. On the electric side, the EQS SUV became the brand’s best-selling luxury electric vehicle in India, highlighting the growing interest in premium electric mobility.

When it comes to sales contribution by segments, entry-level luxury models made up 13 per cent, core luxury models contributed 62 per cent, and top-end vehicles accounted for 25 per cent of total sales in 2025. In the sedan category, strong performers included the C-Class, long wheelbase E-Class, S-Class, and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. SUVs also played a big role in sales, led by models such as the GLA, GLC, GLE, GLS, Mercedes-Maybach GLS, and the AMG G63. However, the entry-level luxury segment saw a 20 per cent decline year-on-year, which reduced its share to just 13 per cent. Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz India has announced plans to launch 12 new products in the country this year, including the much-awaited CLA electric sedan that will feature the new MB.OS operating system. The company has also confirmed local production of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS at its Pune facility, making India the first market outside the United States to manufacture this luxury SUV. This move reflects the brand’s long-term commitment to the Indian market. Thanks to its strong 2025 performance, India has now entered the list of the top five global markets for Mercedes-Benz, marking an important milestone for the company.
