MG Majestor: A New Giant Gears Up to Rule India’s Full-Size SUV Space

MG Majestor

JSW MG Motor India is preparing to make a bold statement in the Indian SUV market with the upcoming MG Majestor, a new flagship that aims to redefine scale, presence and luxury. Scheduled to make its official debut on February 12, 2026, the Majestor will step into an all-new D+ SUV segment, positioning itself as MG’s biggest, boldest and most premium offering yet.

From the very first teaser, one thing is clear — the MG Majestor is designed to dominate attention. MG claims it will be India’s longest, widest and tallest SUV, and the proportions shown so far back that statement convincingly. The SUV carries a strong, upright stance that instantly communicates authority, targeting buyers who want size, road presence and serious capability.

The front design sets the tone. The Majestor features a large and imposing ‘Majestic Matrix’ grille, flanked by sharp Falcon-inspired LED daytime running lights. The split headlamp setup adds a modern touch while keeping the face aggressive and muscular. MG seems to have focused on bold lines and heavy detailing, ensuring the Majestor looks every bit like a flagship SUV.

MG had earlier showcased the Majestor at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, where it shared space with the Cyberster electric roadster and the M9 luxury MPV. While those models already cater to niche premium buyers through MG Select outlets, the Majestor is expected to appeal to a much wider audience looking for a full-size SUV with a commanding personality.

Underneath its imposing body, the MG Majestor is based on the Maxus D90 platform, a body-on-frame architecture that is widely used for large SUVs globally. This foundation hints at strong durability, long-distance comfort and genuine off-road potential. While it shares its roots with the MG Gloster, the Majestor is visually and emotionally positioned as a step above.

Design differences play a key role here. The Majestor gets darker grille elements, revised front and rear bumpers, rugged skid plates, chunky wheel arches and a more upright stance. From the side, it is expected to ride on 19-inch alloy wheels, reinforcing its premium yet tough appeal. At the rear, updated tail lamps, bold Majestor badging and a dual exhaust layout help distinguish it clearly from other MG SUVs.

Powering the MG Majestor will likely be MG’s trusted 2.0-litre four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine. This motor produces a strong 213 bhp and 478 Nm of torque, making it well-suited for hauling a large SUV without effort. The engine is expected to be paired with an automatic gearbox, offering smooth performance for both city driving and highway cruising. A selectable four-wheel-drive system is also anticipated, although MG is yet to confirm this officially.

Step inside, and the MG Majestor is expected to feel every bit like a flagship. The cabin is likely to feature a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, paired with a fully digital instrument cluster. Connected car technology, a premium audio system and powered, ventilated seats should further elevate comfort. A panoramic sunroof and three-zone climate control are expected to enhance the sense of space and luxury for all passengers.

Safety and technology will be major highlights. MG is expected to equip the Majestor with a comprehensive safety package, including a Level 2 ADAS suite offering advanced driver assistance features, along with a 360-degree camera system to manage the SUV’s large dimensions with ease.

With its massive size, powerful diesel engine, feature-packed interior and bold design, the MG Majestor is clearly aimed at buyers considering premium full-size SUVs. It is not just about luxury — it’s about presence, confidence and road dominance. When it arrives, the Majestor will take on some well-established names, setting the stage for an exciting battle in India’s high-end SUV space.
