Model wise sales from Hyundai

Hyundai’s sales performance in December 2025 shows a mixed but mostly stable trend when compared to December 2024. The brand recorded total sales of 42,416 units, which is almost the same as last year’s 42,408 units, showing that overall demand has remained steady. Leading the chart is the Hyundai Creta, which continues to be the company’s best-selling model. It saw a 4 percent year-on-year growth, selling 13,154 units in December 2025 compared to 12,608 units in December 2024. The Venue followed closely in second place with 10,332 units, marking a small 1 percent increase from last year. The Exter also showed positive growth, rising by 6 percent with sales of 5,612 units. Among the biggest gainers was the Aura, which posted an impressive 28 percent growth by selling 4,925 units, up from 3,852 units last year. These numbers highlight that Hyundai’s compact SUVs and entry-level sedans continue to attract buyers, especially those looking for affordable, feature-rich, and fuel-efficient vehicles.

However, not all models performed well, as several cars saw a drop in demand. The Grand i10 Nios recorded a decline of 11 percent, with sales falling from 4,489 units in December 2024 to 4,010 units in December 2025. Similarly, the i20 also faced a slight dip of 3 percent, selling 3,339 units compared to 3,453 units last year. The biggest drops were seen in Hyundai’s premium and niche offerings. The Alcazar saw a massive 57 percent decline, with sales going down from 1,342 units to just 579 units. The Verna also struggled, posting a 53 percent fall by selling only 406 units compared to 872 units last year. These drops may reflect changing buyer preferences, with more people now choosing compact SUVs over sedans and larger MPVs. It also shows how competitive the market has become, where even well-known models need constant updates and strong pricing to stay relevant.

Interestingly, Hyundai’s electric offering, the IONIQ 5, showed strong growth despite low overall numbers. It sold 69 units in December 2025, which is a massive 188 percent jump compared to 24 units last year. While the figures are small, the growth clearly indicates rising interest in electric vehicles, especially in the premium segment. On the other hand, the Tucson recorded zero sales in December 2025, compared to 33 units in December 2024, marking a complete 100 percent drop. This could be due to limited availability, pricing concerns, or a shift in focus towards other models. Overall, Hyundai’s December 2025 performance reflects a stable year, with strong support from its top-selling models like Creta and Venue, while some older or premium models faced challenges. The near-identical total sales figure also suggests that Hyundai has managed to hold its ground in a highly competitive market, even as customer tastes continue to evolve.
