New Skoda Kushaq:
Skoda Kushaq is a stylish midsize SUV offering strong performance, modern features, and safety.

Skoda Auto India has launched the facelifted Kushaq in the country with several noticeable upgrades, making the midsize SUV look more modern and feel more premium than before. It is still based on the MQB-A0 IN platform, but the design changes give it a fresher identity. At the front, the Kushaq now gets redesigned headlamps along with new LED daytime running lights that are connected through segmented lighting elements, similar to what we see on Skoda’s global models. The grille has also been reworked, and the new bumper design comes with angular silver accents that add a sharper and more upmarket touch. Skoda’s familiar badge remains placed on the bonnet. The rear of the SUV has received one of the biggest visual updates. The traditional Skoda logo has been replaced with illuminated ‘SKODA’ lettering stretched across the tailgate, giving it a bold and contemporary look. This is paired with split LED tail lamps that follow the same segmented lighting pattern as the front. Together, these changes make the updated Kushaq stand out more on the road while still retaining its original character.
Inside the cabin, Skoda has focused heavily on improving the overall experience, especially in the higher trims. The new Kushaq is now available in Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo variants, each offering a different mix of style and features. The Prestige and Monte Carlo trims come with several segment-first additions, including a rear seat massager, a panoramic sunroof, a 26.03 cm digital cockpit, and front parking sensors. Other notable upgrades include ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, a more powerful sound system with an amplifier and subwoofer, and a 25.6 cm touchscreen infotainment system that now features an AI companion powered by Google. The Monte Carlo trim is aimed at buyers who prefer a sportier look, with special badging, red accents on the grille, an illuminated light band at the front, blacked-out exterior parts, a dual-tone roof, sequential rear indicators, and leatherette seats. On the other hand, the Prestige variant focuses on a more classy and elegant theme, featuring chrome elements on the grille, premium beige interiors, and a cleaner, more refined appearance.

Mechanically, the 2026 Skoda Kushaq continues with the same engine options, which means buyers can choose between the 1.0-litre TSI and the more powerful 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol engines. The bigger 1.5-litre unit now gets rear disc brakes, improving braking performance. In terms of gearboxes, Skoda has introduced a new 8-speed torque converter automatic for the smaller engine, while the 1.5-litre version continues with the 7-speed DSG transmission. Safety has also been a major focus in this update. The Kushaq now comes with six airbags as standard across all variants, along with more than 25 active and passive safety features on the lower trims, which go up to over 40 on the higher ones. The SUV carries a five-star safety rating and includes features such as rain-sensing wipers, rear defogger, automatic climate control, and Skoda’s Supercare package. This package covers four years of warranty, roadside assistance, and free services, adding peace of mind for buyers. Overall, the facelifted Skoda Kushaq feels more complete, more premium, and more tech-loaded, making it a stronger option in the competitive midsize SUV segment.
