March 2026 PV Sales India:
The Indian passenger vehicle (PV) market delivered a strong and confident performance in March 2026, reflecting sustained consumer demand and a stable economic backdrop, with Maruti Suzuki continuing its dominance at the very top by dispatching 1,72,919 units, marking a solid 28 per cent year-on-year growth and a 10 per cent rise over February, while commanding an impressive 39.5 per cent market share that highlights its unparalleled scale, extensive dealer network, and deep-rooted trust among Indian buyers; following firmly in second position, Tata Motors showcased its momentum with 67,268 units including electric vehicles, registering a healthy 31 per cent annual growth alongside a 14 per cent month-on-month increase, as its expanding EV portfolio continues to gain traction, and just behind in third place, Mahindra & Mahindra recorded 61,032 units, supported by its strong SUV lineup and growing zero-emission offerings, achieving a 23 per cent year-on-year and 9 per cent sequential growth, reinforcing its position as one of the fastest-growing brands in the domestic market.

Maintaining its hold in the competitive mid-tier segment, Hyundai Motor India secured the fourth spot with 48,623 units, reflecting steady growth of 11 per cent YoY and 5 per cent MoM, while Kia India followed closely in fifth place with 27,987 units, posting a strong 23 per cent yearly increase and 9 per cent monthly gain, underlining its growing appeal among urban buyers; not far behind, Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported 27,479 units, achieving an 8 per cent year-on-year rise despite a slight 2 per cent dip compared to February, as hybrid offerings continue to anchor its strategy, whereas Skoda Auto Volkswagen India managed 8,676 units, indicating a recovery of 10 per cent month-on-month even as it faced an 8 per cent yearly decline, and JSW MG Motor India emerged as a notable performer with 6,233 units, growing 12 per cent YoY and a remarkable 29 per cent MoM, highlighting improving acceptance of its products, while Honda Cars India followed with 5,507 units, delivering moderate yet consistent growth of 7 per cent YoY and 12 per cent MoM.
