Honda has locked in October 6, 2026 as the launch date for the Elevate facelift, giving its mid-size SUV a refresh more than three years after it first arrived in India. The update follows a similar playbook to the City facelift launched earlier this year, with the bigger story likely being what’s added to the features list rather than any change to the SUV’s core mechanicals.
6 October 2026 Launch Date Confirmed
At over three years old, the Elevate was overdue for a mid-cycle update, and Honda has now given buyers a firm date to plan around. The compact SUV has been consistently, if not spectacularly, competitive in one of India’s busiest segments, and this facelift is Honda’s chance to close some of the equipment gaps that have opened up against newer rivals since its 2023 launch.
The Cabin Is Where the Elevate Needed Help Most
The current Elevate misses several features that competitors now offer as standard or as an option: ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a powered co-driver’s seat, rear sunblinds and a panoramic sunroof. Honda addressed the first two on the City facelift earlier in 2026, adding ventilated seats and a factory-fitted 360-degree camera, a feature that is currently only a dealer-fitted accessory on the Elevate. Both are widely expected to carry over to the Elevate facelift. Exterior changes are expected to be similarly restrained: a reworked grille, revised LED lighting, updated bumpers and new 17-inch alloy wheels, while the overall silhouette stays familiar.
Engine and the Hybrid Question
Under the hood, the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 121hp and 145Nm with a 6-speed manual or 7-step CVT automatic, is expected to continue unchanged. The genuinely open question is whether Honda extends the City’s strong-hybrid powertrain to the Elevate. That system makes a combined 126hp and 253Nm and has helped the City compete more directly on efficiency against hybrid-equipped rivals. With hybrids gaining real traction in the Indian mid-size segment, adding one to the Elevate would give Honda a meaningfully stronger position, but nothing has been confirmed either way ahead of the October 6 reveal.
Who It Will Compete With
The Elevate facelift will continue competing in one of India’s most crowded segments, up against the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, Kia Seltos, Nissan Tekton and Maruti Grand Vitara. That is a longer rivals list than most SUVs in India have to contend with, which makes the equipment additions here more than cosmetic. Closing the ventilated-seat and 360-camera gap brings the Elevate back to feature parity with much of that list; whether a hybrid option arrives will likely decide how seriously it competes on running costs against the segment’s newer, more efficient entrants.
When does the Honda Elevate facelift launch in India?
Honda has set October 6, 2026 as the launch date for the Elevate facelift, more than three years after the SUV first went on sale in June 2023.
What new features is the Honda Elevate facelift expected to get?
Ventilated front seats and a factory-fitted 360-degree camera are expected, both carried over from the City facelift launched earlier in 2026. The current Elevate also misses dual-zone climate control, a powered co-driver’s seat and rear sunblinds, features rivals already offer.
Will the Honda Elevate facelift get a hybrid engine option?
It is unconfirmed. The existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, making 121hp and 145Nm with a 6-speed manual or 7-step CVT, is expected to carry over. Whether Honda brings the City’s 126hp, 253Nm strong-hybrid system to the Elevate remains an open question.
What will the Honda Elevate facelift’s expected price be?
Exact pricing hasn’t been announced, but reports suggest it is expected to start above the current base price of ₹11.81 lakh, ex-showroom, once the October 6 reveal confirms the final figures.
Stay tuned and follow up for more.
